Description

    1914 Buffalo Nickel, PR67
    Fully Struck and Visually Impressive

1914 5C PR67 PCGS. Among proof Buffalo nickels David Lange cites the 1914 issue as being particularly well made. The current specimen supports that contention, revealing superior strike definition with all of the finer nuances of James Earle Fraser's design being fully brought up on both sides. Showing the light olive-gray cast of an essentially untoned example, with a pleasing satiny appearance and impressively clean surfaces, this Superb Gem would serve well as the centerpiece in an advanced collection. Population: 75 in 67 (3 in 67+), 11 finer (5/14).(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 278T, PCGS# 3991)

    Weight: 5.00 grams

    Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
