Description

1914 Nickel, Superb PR67
Bold Matte Proof Type Coin

1914 5C PR67 PCGS. Demand for proof Buffalo nickels declined after the inaugural year, and only 1,275 pieces were struck in 1914. This Superb Gem example displays thick matte luster with just a hint of light golden toning over the delicately preserved surfaces. The sharpness of James Earle Fraser's rugged design is such as is impossible to locate on a circulation strike. Population: 84 in 67 (6 in 67+), 11 finer (4/15).(Registry values: N2998)
