Description
Original, Golden Toned Proof 1916 Nickel
1916 PR 66 PCGS. The scarcest matte proof nickel, with a mintage of only 600 pieces. This was also the final year for official proof strikings until 1936. As such, the 1916 is always a highly desirable proof issue. Carbon-free, satiny luster underlies the light, even, golden patina that covers both sides of this impressive proof nickel.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 278V, PCGS# 3993, GSID# 3154)
