Description
1936 Type One PR 66 PCGS. An even layer of light toning covers both sides of this gem, resulting in some subjugation of the underlying brilliance. Nevertheless, this is a pleasing example, noted for its mark-free surfaces and superb strike. The type one finish is a hybrid finish, slightly matte, slightly brilliant, an intermediate step between the old finish of the teens and the new return to the brilliant finishes of the Shield and Liberty nickel series.
