Description

1937 Nickel, Mildly Contrasted PR68

1937 5C PR68 PCGS. CAC. The last of the proof Buffalo nickel issues, this date is available through PR67 but rare any finer. All proofs of this date have fully brilliant fields, devices, and edges. Moreover, the mirrored fields offer a mild contrast with the motifs when the coin is tilted slightly under a light source. The essentially untoned surfaces display razor-sharp design elements and are immaculately preserved. These attributes add up to outstanding eye appeal, appropriately recognized by CAC. Population: 16 in 68, 1 finer (12/13).(Registry values: N2998)
