Description

Nearly Perfect PR68 1937 Buffalo Nickel

1937 5C PR68 PCGS. Ex: Tom Mershon Collection. The desirability of this particular coin is derived from several factors. The general preservation of the surfaces is paramount, of course; but a close second is the complete absence of carbon spotting. Eye appeal counts for a great deal of this coin's grade and desirability, and that in turn is based on the ice-blue centers that are surrounded by deep russet at the margins. A fabulous coin that is only bettered by one piece (a PCGS PR69), but it would be difficult to imagine a more strikingly impressive type coin than this one.(Registry values: N2998)
