Very Rare Proof 1835 Dime
1835 10C PR63 PCGS. JR-4. Also attributable as Breen's B.1-new variety, in his 1977 book on proofs he was only able to trace two examples. The fields are deeply mirrored; however, the mirrored effect is somewhat subdued because of the mottled olive and rose toning that covers most of each side. The striking details are fully brought up on each side, and the only mentionable surface flaws we see are a couple of rim bumps at the top of the obverse. Population: 3 in 63, 7 finer (6/01).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 237P, PCGS# 4557, GSID# 4010)
