    1856 Snow-9 Flying Eagle Cent

    1856 1C Snow-9 -- Damage -- PCGS Genuine. Proof, AU Details. A collectible example of the first and rarest small cent date. Snow-9 was struck in proof format for collector sale during the late 1850s. The reverse displays distributed small gray spots, and abrasions are noted on the upper left portion of the wreath. The wheat-gold obverse is faintly hairlined, and shows a pinscratch near the E in UNITED. Light wear on the eagle's breast corresponds with brief circulation.
