First-Year Franklin Proof
1950 50C PR67+ PCGS. CAC. Only 51,386 proof half dollars
were struck in 1950, the first year proofs were offered with the
Franklin design. This Plus-graded Superb Gem exhibits razor-sharp
definition on all the design elements and the fields are moderately
reflective. The impeccably preserved surfaces show only the
faintest suggestions of toning and the overall eye appeal is
terrific. PCGS has graded just one numerically finer example
