    Pristine and Peripherally Patinated

    1951 50C PR67+ Cameo PCGS. CAC. The 1951 has a much lower mintage than subsequent proof Franklin dates, and most specimens lack demonstrable white-on-black contrast. The present piece has frosty motifs, and additionally displays exquisite border toning, in sea-green, orange-red, and powder-blue shades. PCGS has certified just two pieces as PR67+ Cameo, and none have been certified finer by that service as either Cameo or Deep Cameo. CAC: 16 in 67, 2 finer (1/20).(Registry values: N4719)
