Description

1951 Half Dollar, PR67 Deep Cameo
Registry-Grade Condition Rarity

1951 50C PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS. The vast majority of proof 1951 Franklin halves lack measurable cameo contrast, and only 64 coins in all numeric grades qualify for a Deep Cameo designation at PCGS. This piece is one of the three finest among that small population. Entirely brilliant, the surfaces show liquidlike mirroring in the fields with satiny, frost-white luster on the devices. The preservation is spectacular. Struck from fresh proof dies, as faint die polish lines (mint-made) are still visible with a loupe on the bell and on Franklin's portrait. Population: 3 in 67 (1 in 67+) Deep Cameo, 0 finer (2/19).(Registry values: N7079)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# C2BF, PCGS# 96692, Greysheet# 6866)

Weight: 12.50 grams

Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
