Description

Eye-Catching 1953 Half Dollar, PR66 Deep Cameo

1953 50C PR66 Deep Cameo PCGS. The 1953 is a condition rarity in the Franklin half dollar series and while Cameo examples are scarce, Deep Cameo specimens are even more difficult to locate. Intensely mirrored fields show remarkable black-on-white contrast against the snow-white devices. A number of milk spots in the fields limit the grade, but there are virtually no marks on either side. PCGS reports just seven Deep Cameo pieces finer than this sharply struck specimen.(Registry values: N2998)
