Description
1954 Franklin Half, PR68 Deep Cameo
Brilliant Registry-Grade Proof
1954 50C PR68 Deep Cameo PCGS. A stellar coin in a
staggering grade, this superb proof 1954 Franklin is one of seven
PR68 Deep Cameos that rank as the finest at PCGS (9/15). The relief
elements are smooth and satiny, yielding brilliant-white luster
that still shows faint striae from the die preparation. The fields
are fully mirrored and evenly blacken behind the design elements
when tilted into a light. The surfaces are virtually flawless and
the eye appeal rivals perfection.Proof Franklins were produced annually from 1950 through the end of the series in 1963. The 1954 is one of scarcer issues in the Deep Cameo category, and is a true rarity at the upper end of that grade range.(Registry values: N4719)
