1883 G$1 PR65 Cameo NGC. The variety specialist might be interested to know that this coin displays repunching on the 3 in the date. In addition, the top loops of both 8s in the date are partially filled. Per Breen (1988), both business strike and proof 1883 gold dollars were produced from this die pair. A sharply struck, well preserved piece with dynamic reflectivity in the fields, where a small degree of milkiness is also observed on each side. A small mark, possibly mint made, resides just below the U in UNITED. Census: 7 in 65 Cameo, 14 finer (3/09).(Registry values: P2)
