1886 G$1 PR 65 PCGS. An amply mirrored specimen that is essentially void of hairlines and is further enhanced by golden-orange accents on each side. The eye appeal of this dazzling proof type coin is simply outstanding. Although 1,016 proofs were struck, Gem or better survivors probably represent fewer than five percent of the original mintage. Population: 24 in 65, 12 finer.
