Great Eye Appeal for the Grade
1887 G$1 PR63 PCGS. This glittering proof has exceptional
eye appeal with brilliant yellow-gold surfaces that combine
mirrored fields and satiny devices. Mintages of proof gold dollars
exceeded 1,000 coins per year at the end of the series. However,
attractive examples are still elusive since many of the pieces were
purchased by jewelers for use in their trade. Population: 14 in 63,
