1887 G$1 PR64 PCGS. The 1887 proof gold dollar was a popular
gift item, and many coins were sold to the general public at the
time of issue. Only a fraction of the 1,043 piece proof mintage is
extant today in unimpaired condition. This sharply detailed Choice
example displays deeply mirrored orange-gold surfaces that show
