Description

1834 C-1 Half Cent, PR61 Brown
Attractive Example; Rare as a Proof

1834 1/2 C C-1, B-1, R.6 as a Proof, PR61 Brown NGC. Blue-steel, russet-rose, and sage-steel dominate the delectable surfaces of this Proof half cent. Surfaces are devoid of immediately noticeable marks, with an old nick on the cheek blending into the jawline and a quarter-circle shaped mark right of the date noted for pedigree purposes only. Only one die marriage is known of 1834 half cents, and the die marriage is quite rare as a proof. The present offering provides an affordable opportunity to the Proof type collector.
