1841 B-1 Half Cent, PR62 Red and Brown
Cracked Obverse Die

1841 1/2 C Original, B-1, R.5, PR62 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. A die crack connects stars 3 through 6 to the border over star 7 as always seen on this obverse die. Large berries in the wreath identify this as an original strike according to numismatic tradition. Violet and blue-steel toning appear on the reflective tan surfaces that show minuscule contact marks on each side. Population: 1 in 62 Red and Brown, 6 finer. CAC: 1 in 62, 2 finer (7/25).(Registry values: P2)
