    Description

    1845 B-1 Half Cent, PR62 Brown
    Large Berries Original

1845 1/2 C Original PR62 Brown PCGS. B-1, R.6. This needle-sharp proof has blushes of orange-red on each side, although the open fields and the cheek are medium brown with faint bluish overtones. The preservation is pleasing despite a thin mark left of the cheek. The surfaces are somewhat dull as the grade suggests. PCGS and NGC combined have certified only 15 Originals in all grades (7/19). Approximately 20 1845 Original proofs are known per the research of Richard T. Coleman, whose proof Census was published in Penny-Wise in 2004. Our EAC grade PR60.
