Large Berries Reverse
1846 1/2 C Original, B-1, Low R.6, PR58 PCGS. Proof half
cents with the Large Berries reverse are traditionally known as
"Original" strikes and examples such as this piece are occasionally
found with traces of rub on the high points. Such pieces are
popular with collectors due to their affordability. A few scattered
marks are noted in the fields and on Liberty's profile on this
example. The light brown surfaces retain traces of the mirrored
