1852 1/2 C First Restrike PR66 Brown PCGS. CAC. B-2, R.4. More than 100 examples of the 1852 Proof First Restrike half cents are believed to exist, making this variety the most plentiful of all proof half cents, and the only common proof issue of 1852. Despite the number know, only six examples are PCGS certified as PR66, with none finer. One of those is the present exceptional specimen that exhibits fully mirrored fields and sharp design definition. The obverse is deep tan with lovely blue-green overtones, while the reverse is mostly lighter tan with traces of original mint color. Our EAC grade PR62. Population: 4 in 66 Brown, 0 finer (3/16).
