1856 Half Cent, PR63 Red and Brown
Rare B-1 Variety
1856 1/2 C B-1, R.6, PR63 Red and Brown PCGS. A majority of
proof 1856 half cents are Breen-3 restrikes. B-1 originals are
rare, and most do not exhibit the extent of initial Red seen on the
present Select specimen. Glimpses of lilac toning are also present.
A small strike-through is noted between stars 2 and 3, but the
surfaces are pleasing for the designated grade.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26ZX, PCGS# 1330, Greysheet# 688)
