B-2, Diverse Toning
1857 1/2 C B-2, R.4, PR64 Brown NGC. Doubling on the ENT in
CENT confirms this series-ending proof variety. The obverse is
brick-red throughout, while the reverse alternates between
powder-blue and lime-green. A fully struck near-Gem that has flashy
fields and excellent preservation.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2009), lot 49.
