Brilliant Proof 1907 High Relief, PR63
1907 $20 High Relief PR63 NGC. This Wire Rim piece, certified by NGC as a proof, has all of the required characteristics for such a determination. The strike is bold and sharp, the fields are satiny, and the die polishing lines in the obverse and reverse fields are crisp, flowing up onto the wide borders on each side. The die polishing lines are visible to some extent on al High Relief double eagles, but they are especially bold on the proofs, most prominent between the rays in the left obverse field. Both sides of this example have satiny yellow-gold luster tending toward green, with traces of additional rose toning.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28HM, PCGS# 908549, GSID# 10199)
