    Description

    1859 1C PR62 PCGS. Hazy tan-brown patina in the fields with brighter color at the borders. Well struck with scattered carbon flecks and very pleasing surfaces. A seemingly conservatively graded example. Only 800 proof Indian Cents were minted in 1859, the first year of the series and a one-year type without the reverse shield.
