Wonderful 1859 Indian Cent, PR66 Cameo

1859 1C PR66 Cameo PCGS. The 1859 Indian cent is a blue-chip coin for anyone wanting to purchase a type piece of enduring popularity. The issue was only struck in 1859 with the Laurel Wreath Reverse, and seldom are examples seen with the depth of mirrored reflectivity the present piece possesses. The mirrors in the fields are unfathomably deep, and the color is as close as possible to the original "white" appearance these coins had when new. Close examination reveals each side displays a subtle pastel iridescence, but the frosted devices are most immediately apparent, set against the bottomless mirrors in the fields. Population: 6 in 66 Cameo, 0 finer (4/09).
Ex: Heritage (3/2004), lot 5115, which brought $14,950; Heritage (1/2005), lot 30108, which realized $17,250.
