Impressive Gem Proof 1860 Cent
1860 1C PR65 PCGS. A caramel-gold Gem proof from the Pony Express year of 1860. Satiny and sharply struck with minimal carbon and an absence of contact. Although 1,000 proof sets were coined, a majority went unsold and were eventually melted by the Mint.
