    Description

    1860 Cent, PR65
    A Rarity in Gem Condition

1860 1C PR65 PCGS. The reported mintage for the 1860 Indian Head cent proof stands at 1,000 specimens. However, the Mint introduced a proofing fee of 13 cents that year, and many sets went unsold. Each side of this bronze and amber-gold Gem is beautifully preserved without mentionable contact. Fully impressed, as expected. Housed in a first generation holder. Population: 40 in 65, 15 finer (4/17).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 229A, PCGS# 2253)

    Weight: 4.67 grams

    Metal: 88% Copper, 12% Nickel
