1860 1C PR66 PCGS. Snow-PR1. The 1860 cent proof had a
historically consistent mintage of 1,000 coins; however poor sales
would see 450 proofs either melted or issued into circulation. This
immaculate example displays light cedar-brown and lilac luster and
fields with no notable blemishes that would detract from the eye
appeal. PCGS has seen no proof numerically finer than Premium Gem
and this is a welcome Registry piece. PCGS Population: 19 in 66 (2
