1862 Indian Cent, PR67 Cameo
High-End Rarity
1862 1C PR67 Cameo NGC. The 1862 is among the more available
proof issues in the copper-nickel Indian cent series. However, a
minority of the survivorship is Cameo-designated, and only a few
pieces are in Ultra or Deep Cameo grades. This is a rare Superb Gem
Cameo example. A bold strike and ample field reflectivity create
appreciable cameo contrast on each side, with warm tan-gold color
and no distractions. Census: 7 in 67 Cameo, 1 finer
