Tantalizing 1864 Bronze, No L Cent, PR64 Cameo
1864 1C Bronze No L PR64 Cameo NGC. An attractive near-Gem that was among the 150 or so specimens struck after the change to the bronze alloy but before the addition of Longacre's monogram to the portrait. The copper-orange and rose-blush fields offer distinct contrast with the devices, an unusual characteristic for the issue.
