    Description

1864 Bronze No L Cent, PR64 Red Cameo
    Appealing One-Year Type Coin

1864 1C Bronze No L PR64 Red Cameo PCGS. CAC. Rick Snow estimates that 300 of this one-year-of-type issue were struck, rather than the 150+ estimate in the Guide Book. It is the combination of No L and bronze composition that makes this a one-year type, as the L initial would remain through the end of the series. This fresh-looking coin shows good contrast over copper-red and orange-red surfaces with a bold strike, no carbon, and good eye appeal. Population: 8 in 64 Cameo, 6 finer (4/15).(Registry values: P7)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 229F, PCGS# 82278)

    Weight: 3.11 grams

Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Tin and Zinc
