Description
1864 1C Copper Nickel PR64 Cameo NGC. CAC. Attractive tan-gold surfaces reveal bold field-motif contrast throughout this Choice Cameo proof. A few light lines limit the grade, but the eye appeal remains simply outstanding, as affirmed by the CAC approval sticker. Under a loupe, some Mint-made planchet roughness is visible in the left obverse field near Liberty's neck. Census: 9 in 64 Cameo, 20 finer; 1 in 64 Ultra Cameo, 4 finer. CAC: 7 in 64, 10 finer (4/18).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 2/2016), lot 3565, which realized $1,292.50.
