    Description

    Cameo PR66 1864 Copper-Nickel Cent

1864 1C Copper Nickel PR66 Cameo PCGS. Final year of issue and one of the finest cameo copper-nickel cents we have seen of any date. The fields on this piece are unfathomably deep in their mirrored reflectivity and the devices are noticeably frosted, providing a stark cameo contrast on each side. The surfaces are very light in color, in fact, quite close to the original "white" color these coins had when new. A very attractive, two-toned example of this popular year. Population: 5 in 66, 0 finer (4/03).
From the V. A. Everest Collection.
