    Conditionally Scarce 1865 Indian Cent PR64 Red Cameo

    1865 1C PR64 Red Cameo PCGS. This is a scarce proof Indian cent issue with an original mintage of "500+" pieces, according to the Guide Book. This near-Gem specimen exhibits vivid red-gold toning on the obverse that turns to intense fire-red coloration on the reverse. Two or three minor carbon specks are noted on the obverse, preventing a Gem grade, but appealing Cameo contrast is observed on both sides. Population: 3 in 64 Red Cameo, 3 finer (12/07). (Registry values: P6)
