    Description

    1866 Cent, PR66 Red
    Sharp and Deeply Mirrored

1866 1C PR66 Red PCGS. A fully struck, gleaming representative with bright, lemony-red color that exhibits just a touch of deeper tone over each side. Noticeable mint frost blankets the devices, and this coin falls just shy of a Cameo designation from PCGS. As a date, this issue is only available in Brown to Red and Brown grades -- Red examples are scarce, and Cameos are extremely rare. Population: 4 in 66 Red, 0 finer (4/17).(Registry values: N7079)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 229J, PCGS# 2287)

    Weight: 3.11 grams

Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Tin and Zinc
