    Description

1868 1C PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. Bright orange-gold and yellow-green color. A well struck example. Both sides have a few wispy handling marks. The die alignment is approximately 10 degrees, or close to medal alignment. Snow indicates that the 1868 proofs have either coin or medal alignment, with the latter decidedly scarcer.
    From the David Hall Collection.

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
