    Dramatic Color and Contrast

    1868 1C PR65 Red Cameo NGC. Beautiful copper-red color adorns both sides, each of which exhibits sharp design elements. This beautiful Gem proof is well-preserved throughout. The reverse is rotated to a nearly full medal turn, typical of the issue. Full Red proof 1868 cents are scarce with or without cameo contrast, and most seen are Red and Brown. Census: 2 in 65 Red Cameo, 0 finer (5/18).(Registry values: P4)
