Description

1872 1C PR65 Brown PCGS Secure. Circulation strike 1872 cents are semikey issues because of their lower mintage, which places added date pressure on the 950 or so proofs that were produced. As with all the coins in this collection, this piece was chosen for its distinctive color. Each side radiates deep, almost cobalt-blue, made even more vibrant by the proof mirrors. A rim-to-rim streak of original mint red is easily seen through the warbonnet of the Indian. Exceptionally attractive.
