1872 Indian Head Cent, PR65 Red
Elusive Issue in Red
1872 1C PR65 Red NGC. The relatively large mintage of 950
proof Indian Head cents in 1872 makes the date reasonably available
in most grades. However, proof Gem Red specimens are rare. The
original red surfaces of this Gem example are brightly reflective,
and all design elements are sharply defined. Census: 13 in 65 Red,
