    Description

Finest Known Gem Cameo Proof 1872 Indian Cent

1872 1C PR66 Red Cameo PCGS. As a business strike, the 1872 is considered a semi-key issue and is in demand in all grades. As a result, high grade proofs are also sought after by date collectors. This sparkling cameo proof has brightly mirrored fields with nicely frosted devices, and is very light in color on the obverse and reverse. As expected of the grade, the surfaces are carbonless and clear. An important coin as a Gem Cameo Proof and the single finest known example to PCGS (3/04). (#82305)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 229R, PCGS# 82305)
