    Description

1876 1C PR65 Red PCGS. The obverse is remarkable with light cameo contrast and nearly spot-free, flashy, fully red surfaces. The reverse shows some diagonal striations that are most likely the result of incomplete die polish. The resulting finish is substantially different from the obverse. One could say that this is a cent of contrasts; between field and devices and obverse and reverse.
