1877 Indian Cent, PR62 Red
Glimmering Fields
1877 1C PR62 Red PCGS Secure. The bold N in ONE confirms
this piece as a proof, and the fields glimmer when tilted beneath a
light. The strike is sharp and both sides display rich
copper-orange color. Modest contrast is apparent on the obverse.
Under a loupe, several field lines and a few carbon spots account
for the grade. One prominent spot is on the C in CENT and another
is on the final 7 in the date.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 229W, PCGS# 2320, GSID# 1555)
