1877 1C PR63 Brown PCGS. A substantial amount of Mint red
color survives throughout the borders of this Choice proof 1877
cent, which was given a Brown designation by PCGS. This coin is
easily at home in either a Brown or a Red and Brown set. Traces of
reflectivity appear in conjunction with the red coloration that
frequents both sides. One of 900 proofs made, always in demand
given the rarity of circulation strikes for the 1877. Population:
