    Description

    In-Demand 1877 Cent, PR64 Red and Brown

1877 1C PR64 Red and Brown NGC. Although Mint figures are not available, it is believed that this issue included a Proof mintage of approximately 1,500 coins; however, the unsold coins were either melted or released into circulation. This near-Gem example was struck from lightly rotated dies, with the reverse die producing a bulging pennant in the T of CENT. Attractive luster and golden-wheat color, along with splashes of golden-brown and orange, create lovely visual appeal.(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 229W, PCGS# 2319)
