    Rich Brown and Blue Patina

    1877 1C PR65 Brown NGC. Sharply struck, with excellent definition appearing on all four diamonds and the feather tips. Coppery-tan and crimson patination bathes both sides, neither of which reveals mentionable contact marks or unsightly spotting. A pleasing 1877 Brown Gem proof. Census: 13 in 65 Brown, 1 finer (9/13).
