Beautiful Color, Sharp Eye Appeal
1877 1C PR65 Red and Brown NGC. A sparse overlay of blue
patina accounts for the Red and Brown designation on this Gem proof
1877 cent. Responding to the obvious difficulty of finding a
high-grade 1877 circulation strike, many collectors set their
sights on a Gem or finer proof. This coin certainly qualifies in
that regard. The sharp strike and subtle reflectivity serves as
good match for any Red and Brown set or to fill that challenging
