Description

Key-Date 1877 Cent, PR65 Red and Brown

1877 1C PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. While no precise mintage figures are available for this key issue, it is believed that some 900 proofs were produced, as part of both "silver" proof sets and "nickel" proof sets and sold as singles over the counter at the Mint. This is very well preserved example that has deeply reflective proof mirrors in the fields. Both original mint red and bright lime-green compete for color dominance on this exceptionally attractive coin. Fully struck throughout. Population: 59 in 65, 5 finer (8/08).(Registry values: N4719)
