    Description

1879 PR 65 Red PCGS. This is a fully reflective proof, with shimmering surfaces and a slightly orange cast. A higher grade is deterred by a few minor carbon speckles on the reverse. This remains a very attractive, not to mention, high grade example of the 3,200 proofs originally struck in 1879.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 229Y, PCGS# 2326)

    Weight: 3.11 grams
